Are you an Engine Calibration Engineer with at least 5 years' experience in Engine Calibration & Mapping Engine Calibration? We are looking for candidates with good basic experience of Engine Calibration who would like to work on a very long term (at least 2-3 years) & interesting Projects We are also looking for people with at least 2-3 years' experience, which we can apply an improver rate (please apply for full details). The client is happy to speak with candidates across all areas of internal combustion engines regardless of them being Petrol, Gas, Diesel or alternatively powered, they just want good experience with calibrating and analysing calibration results Performance Development Engineer JOB PURPOSE: Candidates will serve as an experienced, individual contributor for engine emissions and performance development projects. Specific assignments are complex in nature and support the performance and emissions development of engine products. JOB DUTIES: This position is part of a team of engineers responsible for the performance and emissions development of engine products. The engines are used in machine, industrial and electric power applications. The main responsibilities include engine performance and ratings development work. This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating engine development work, including pre-test planning, reviewing test data to ensure quality, and post-test data analysis. A key role will be the development of electronic engine calibration maps that will be utilized in the engine control software. Incumbent will be responsible for conducting engine system and rating calibration development for Tier 4 engines to meet customer performance expectations and all emission regulations, troubleshooting issues identified in production test, verification and validation testing, field testing and customer raised concerns. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Requires an accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience and excellent analytical skills. Incumbents must have gained 4 to 7 years of experience in engine performance and emissions development for Diesel engines. Specific experience with the development of electronically controlled engines is highly desired. Must have strong technical skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
