Estate Projects Manager Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Estate Projects Manager to work within the Public Sector based in Hammersmith to start as soon as possible on a temporary contract until the end of May 2019 The purpose of the role is to lead on projects relating to Housing Estates and Housing Management Estate Projects Manager – Responsibilities • Consult with customers about programmes of works and ensure that contractors deliver the required works • Prepare regular progress reports highlighting performance of contractors against Key Performance Indicators • Prepare specifications and tender documentation for one off projects and planned programme of works • Act as a Contractor Administrator for small works contracts to ensure effective contractual and technical monitoring of contractors performance • Attend site meetings and inspect works during the course of contract at completion to ensure high quality of works that adhere to building regulations and health and safety Estate Projects Manager – Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience Qualifications:- Essential • Project Management qualification and / or experience of project management in a social housing or building repairs environment Desirable • Evidence of continued professional development Estate Projects Manager – Knowledge & Experience Essential • Significant experience of managing projects within a social housing environment • Detailed knowledge of and demonstratable skills in undertaking complex stakeholder consolation tasks • Experience and understanding of Construction & Design Management regulations and their application in managing works • Experience of Contract Administration including financial management of contracts • Experience of writing specifications for maintenance projects • Knowledge of health and safety legislation in relation to maintenance works • Experience of managing revenue and capital budgets and approving costs from contractors • Experience of monitoring contractors performance, meeting KIP's and standards • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing with the ability to write effective letters, specifications of works and reports • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff in a clear and jargon free manner • Ability to use IT packages and repair databases • Ability to work outside normal hours where necessary to deal with emergencies • Ability to attend meetings out of normal working hours Estate Projects Manager – Additional Information • This is a temporary role to start as soon as possible until the end of May 2019 • The day rate on the role is 391.67 • This is a full time role Monday – Friday If you are highly organised, have the ability to work under pressure, and the role sounds like your next career step, then click the apply button to send your CV, or contact Alanna O'Connor at Pertemps Managed Solutions for further information |
