| Becoming a Finance Analyst with Capita Life, Pensions & Specialist Services:
A fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate (accountancy / statistics / economics / business related degree) to support the Finance Manager and Finance Director as well as the wider Programme Team in the financial control, planning and analysis of a number of projects / programmes of different sizes.
This Business Unit supports the IT operations of Capita Specialist Services Division, the largest division in Capita composed of a diverse number of companies
Study support will be provided for ACCA / CIMA. Study package for ACCA or CIMA
*This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract*
What you will do:
Detailed transaction and recharge reviews / challenge
Analysis of project costs including timesheets, travel, expenses.
Preparation and maintenance of cost trackers
Attendance and contribution to cost tracker meetings
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and backup for capital spend
Reconciliation of reporting and forecasting systems
Preparation and posting of journals, administration of purchase orders
Contribution to company reporting process and Programme Boards.
Ad hoc analysis and query resolution
Your experience will include:
CIMA / ACCA Student or a desire to start
This role would also suit a recent graduate. Degree subject is not as important as an aptitude for numeracy, a keen desire to start studying for an accountancy qualification and the personality to succeed in a dynamic environment.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in the rest of Office
Strong attention to detail
An analytical, enquiring and methodical mind
Confident communicator with the ability to work with finance / non finance people at all levels
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines
