Freelancers who remain uncertain about their tax arrangements should make use of a new webinar due to be hosted online by HM Revenue & Customs this coming Monday, 19 December 2016.
The webinar will cover subjects including changes relating to the VAT Flat Rate Scheme and how this could affect freelance workers, as well as how online returns should be filed correctly and in a timely manner.
There will also be an earlier webinar hosted by the taxation body on Friday 16 December 2016, which will cover the often confusing topic of VAT and other issues including 'schemes to simplify your accounting,' it was confirmed.
Both of the webinars, which will last for 60 minutes each, will allow for users to ask their own questions to the HMRC host regarding the subject matter and how it relates to their own personal situation. Anybody interested in the webinars must register on the HMRC site from today onwards and all those keen to take part are being advised to log-on prior to the start times, which are 14.00 on Monday 19 December for the VAT webinar and 11.00 on Friday 16 December.
